Verso means the other side, turning the page: a new opportunity seen from a new perspective. Verso also Finnish for “sprout” or “shoot” – meaning new growth from an existing plant or tree. This is exactly what we do: we look for new opportunities and create sustainable growth by applying new perspectives to existing businesses. And we are experts in carve-out situations: we create value by separating non-core businesses from larger companies and grow them as independent new companies. With more than 100 carve-outs and M&A transactions managed by our team, we have extensive experience in building and executing even the most challenging carve-outs quickly and effectively.
Our background is deeply rooted in international B2B business – we have a long and successful track record in both managing and investing in international B2B businesses. Our team consist of professionals with diverse international backgrounds in senior operational management positions, private equity, investment banking and venture capital. We have years of experience in operational roles: we have done the hard work of running businesses ourselves, driving international sales organisations and negotiating new business deals, running product management and R&D organisations, and building new businesses from an innovative idea to multi-million revenue.
We look for businesses that can make an impact on their industry either by taking a leading position in their target market or by disrupting the market equilibrium. We apply our experience to every new opportunity – we will not tell you how to run your business but use our own experience to help find the best path to sustainable international growth towards a market leading position or market disruption, while ensuring sufficient financing to achieve even the most ambitious growth targets.
