At Miracle, our mission is to improve healthcare using technology—starting by accelerating clinical trials to bring new therapeutics to patients faster. We empower clinical-stage biopharmaceutical companies by unifying disparate trial systems and delivering real-time, automated insights that optimize clinical trials. Already profitable and rapidly growing, Miracle serves as the “control room” for clinical trials—saving time in drug development towards FDA approvals and improving patient outcomes.
About the Role
As a Founding Full-Stack Engineer, you’re more than just a coder—you’re a product visionary. You’ll join a fast-moving engineering team that operates with a high level of ownership and a user-first mentality. You’ll engage directly with end users to understand their pain points, iterate on features that solve real problems, and take full responsibility for projects from ideation to deployment. Your work will directly impact clinical trials and accelerate the path to FDA approval, ultimately bringing life-saving treatments to patients faster.
What you’re looking for
- True Ownership & Impact: As a founding engineer, you’ll refine our core tech stack that’s already powering global clinical trials, make pivotal product decisions, and see your contributions drive clinical trials forward.
- Wear Multiple Hats: From backend architecture and data modeling to UI design and product strategy, you’ll be encouraged to think outside the box and drive projects end-to-end.
- Product Input: Actively contribute to identifying user needs and defining our product roadmap.
- Real-World Significance: Your work will make a tangible difference—helping to bring life-altering therapies to patients faster.
What you’ll do
- Innovate and Iterate: Design and maintain data ingestion pipelines, unify disparate data sources into our Miracle data model, and create intuitive visualization tools that give biopharma teams actionable insights for their clinical trials.
- User-Centric Development: Engage directly with users (biopharmaceutical teams) to uncover pain points, gather feedback, and quickly iterate on solutions.
- Take Ownership: Manage projects from ideation to deployment with a “whatever it takes” mentality, ensuring every feature is built with the user in mind.
- Lead & Influence: Opportunities to lead technical and high-level product discussions, shaping our roadmap and overall strategy as we scale.
What you will need to succeed
- Technical Expertise: You’re comfortable building 0-to-1 applications and scaling too. Experience with Python, JavaScript, and SQL is required. Huge plus if you have experience with web scraping, handling structured/unstructured data, TypeScript, React, and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- Industry Experience (2+ Years): Ideally you’ve thrived in an early-stage startup, but exceptional engineers with proven hands-on experience are welcome to apply.
- Strong Communicator & Team Player: You value open dialogue, embrace feedback, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Resilience: You’re not afraid to fail fast, learn from challenges, and continuously improve.
- User-First Mentality: You’re curious, thrive in ambiguity, and always keep the user’s needs at the forefront.
- SF Location: Ability to join us 2–3 days a week at our SF office near Salesforce Tower.
Benefits
- Health & Wellness: Fully covered medical insurance, plus flexible dental and vision plans
- Financial Security: 401(k), HSA/FSA, and commuter benefits
- Growth Opportunities: Leadership potential in a profitable, high-growth startup reshaping healthcare
