About the Role
We’re looking for a part-time internal recruiter (with an opportunity to go full-time) to help us scale our team while keeping our nascent culture at the centre of every hiring decision we make. This role is perfect for someone who's passionate about matching great people with meaningful work, building hiring processes from scratch, and ensuring candidates have an exceptional experience from first contact to offer (and beyond!).
You thrive on ownership and creativity, leveraging data to inform decisions. You're not shy about experimenting with new sourcing strategies or employer branding tactics. You naturally build strong relationships - both internally and externally - and you're motivated by seeing individuals grow in the roles you help fill.
In this role, you will

Own the full-cycle recruitment: from drafting compelling job descriptions to sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and onboarding you'll lead the entire hiring journey for a wide variety of roles across Caribou

Build our hiring and onboarding infrastructure: Introduce tools, processes, and best practices that enable us to scale quickly and efficiently. You'll lay the foundations of a world-class talent function.

Champion candidate experience: Ensure every candidate-whether they get the job or not-walks away impressed by Caribou's culture and thoughtfulness.

Partner with the team: Work hand-in-hand with hiring managers to deeply understand their needs and provide insights that share the future of Caribou's teams.
Requirements for the role

2+ years recruiting experience - preferably in a Series A - C startup.

Full-cycle ownership - you've done this before.

Process-oriented and adaptive - you can design and refine hiring flows, but aren't afraid to pivot when something new might work better.

Relationship builder - you excel at stakeholder management

Data-driven & creative - you use metrics to inform your strategy
