Now we’re scaling, refining, and raising the bar for our engineering team—shifting from “make it work” to “make it great.” This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging backend problems while maintaining full-stack capabilities and mentoring team members. You’ll be a key player in setting best practices and ensuring our systems stay robust as we rapidly grow.
About You
While you have deep expertise with our current stack (Node/Express, React, PostgreSQL), you’ve worked in other languages and adopt new technologies quickly. You're pragmatic NOT dogmatic about technology choices and value choosing the right tool for the problem. You focus on delivering real customer value, leverage proven tools and avoid unnecessarily reinventing wheels. You know exactly what it takes to architect and develop top-tier web apps, and you have a significant track record of shipping production systems that real customers depend on every day.
Ideally, you've been through this stage of growth before and recognize the boost to career trajectory it presents. You know you'll face tough challenges. And you want in anyway.
You think in terms of customer problems, not just technical solutions. When given a business challenge, you can think from first principles to identify the core issues, and drive toward solutions independently. You're comfortable with ambiguity and can translate high-level objectives into concrete technical decisions.
