Founded by Tanay Kothari, Wispr Flow initially explored hardware solutions for silent typing through mouthed words before pivoting to software. The platform, known for its seamless dictation capabilities, supports over 100 languages and has gained significant traction since launching its Mac app in October 2024, followed by Windows and iOS versions in 2025.
Kothari revealed that the startup is on the cusp of profitability, a rare achievement for early-stage companies.
